I was detecting at a Civil War site & found my first Barber Quarter, a 1901 O mint mark.
I also found a few lead bullets, and a 1943 war nickel.
Thanks for looking.

Congrats on your first Barber Quarter.
The memory will last many moons I hope.

I still remember the park and the exact spot I dug mine in Bradenton 17 yrs ago.

I also remember when and where I found my first Barber Quarter.
It was on a small beach in Maine about 15 years ago.
When I found it I didn't even know what it was - had to look it up in the Red Book ! :laughing9:

I posted mine up on another forum and got the ID wrong.
(But I'm a Canuck so that's my excuse-and ?):laughing7:

Congratulations in the barber quarter! They don't come up much. My first was an Orleans mint as well 1893 O a few days before my birthday.
