Hello!
Yesterday I took off half the day of work to take a little road trip with my good buddy Ron ~ I Dug a couple 'firsts' for me! Here's what I dug up:
1906-O Barber dime
1933 Wheat cent
9 other wheat cents dating from 1919 to 1953
'PURDY' trade token
OAC watch fob
5 clad quarters
8 clad dimes
3 modern nickels
29 copper memorial cents
I took pic's of the goodies before and after I cleaned them up! This Barber dime is my silver coin #12 for the year. Plus, this is my first "O" (New Orleans) mint coin that I've ever found!
I know it's not a big deal ~ but this is my first 1933 wheat cent that I've ever dug! Not sure why I've never found one before ~ they aren't all THAT rare! I took a close-up pic of the date area.
The watch fob is pretty cool. Oregon Agricultural College is now known as Oregon State University. This fob dates from 1890 to 1927!
And this trade token is a 'maverick', but it's attributed to Corvallis and Portland Oregon. I sure like digging up trade tokens!
Thanks for looking!
Neil
