Had a great weekend. Invited some tnet members from Las Cruses NM to my Texas honey hole. They had a blast and even found some silver and WWI and WWII buttons.

For the most part i had fun watching them enjoying there time fishing this prime Texas ground, lol.

I didn't do bad either... First find was a wheat penny and then after that everything fell in place. Next I found a silver Rosie,1928 buffalo nickel, a 1900's sterling/gold trim buckle, a Mississippi Tax Commission token which at first glance looked a Chinese coin. Finally while calling it a day I had a double iffy tone which I am happy I fished out because it turned out to be a 1908 El Paso Dog Tax tag and a Palmolive token. Also found the occasional clay marbles.

Hope you Las Cruses guys had a blast cause I know I did!

Enjoy the pics!

sweet finds and that one does look like a Chinese coin. sounds like a blast for a hunt!

Nice digs and thanks for the pictures

Found a few first that day. Nice hunt. Thanks for the invite.

Love that dog tag! It really cleaned up nicely. My oldest is a 1918. Congrats!

Nice job. i like the dog tag.

Those are all good finds! I found a dog tag in about that shape, but mine was 1909 :)

You should send pics to the Dog License collectors clubs. 1908 is quite old and could be an undocumented one.

That's a nice chunk of silver buckle!
Even the dogs in Texas have stars! Awesome!

Congrats you did well!

Thanks guys... I have found a few dog tags but a dog tax is a new one for me. I sure will post it on that other website and keep you posted. Thanks again for looking...
