sorry for the long response.
I was told baby oil and soft clothe. and it sure enough came out very shiny. I am new to the coin collecting thing.

Nice Nickel.. What kind of baby oil did you use because I just tryed it on a buffalo and its still brown as it was when it came out of the ground.

No. I am sorry, I should have explained the find. I found it in a old wooden house boat (abandoned of course). in the swamps of Houma, Louisiana. It is falling apart and is flooded but I had to get in it. I will be going back to that spot agian.

I used Johnson's Baby Oil but mine was green and came from water on top of wood. Most of my finds are wet finds, or moist from mud.
