I found this beautiful 1912 dog licence during a 3 hour cellar hole hunt. Age-wise, it did not beat my 1906 dog licence, but it definitely is more attractive than it.

Wow was this a water find? Or is it just heavily gilted?
 

too bad its got a white splotch across it, kinda takes away from its charm, IMO
 

I really like finding the old dog tax tags. It's hard to believe they even taxed you for a dog back then. Some of the early ones with single digits are worth some coin. A lot of guys collect them. Usually numbers below ten bring the best prices with number one being the best.
