my wife and I went out for breakfast this morning and as we were paying the bill the girl opened the drawer and I have a habit of tring to see whats in the change and low and behold I saw the buffalo, I said to the girl can I buy that buffalo nickel and she said here you can have it, It did'nt even cost me the nickel. I guess she was happy because I had left her a good tip!!! To bad its not a 1916 double die, also no mint mark but I still a happy camper.

Always lover silver, even more when it's a buffalo... 8)
Always suprised to see these still in circ, read somewhere recently, probably on Tnet, that these are not even legal tender anymore.
I must say, awsome find today...

Sorry chrisplay2004 Buffalo Nickles are not silver, the only silver Nickles were minted from 1942 - 1945 the mint mark is above the dome too instead of the normal spot.

Good eye poppa19, WTG nice find !!

Keep @ it and HH!!
