The boy and I hit our latest permission again this evening after the showers we got yesterday evening. It wasn't my day this evening. Lol
My finds for this evening was a single wheat, CW bullet, lead figurine, and what looks like a part of a watch fob or badge?
The kid finds a lead figurine too and the base off a second one. A wheat, rivet, what we think is a silver ring and a 1919 Candian dime. The ring isn't marked.

I just got the same dime out of the water here in Michigan. If you didn't know they are not made of coin silver which is .900 fine and .10 copper. They are actually sterling silver or .925. As long as they were minted before 1920. Love the lead toys. Ring sure looks silver. Congrats

Boo hoo. That's a great day to me. Yesterday I found 1c TOTAL, over four hours, checking out a couple spots I thought might be good. Those are some good finds, buddy. "Not your day..." bah. Be glad for what you dug.

Nice hunt. Silver and two cool figurines. Thank you for sharing.

Cool finds, and congrats on the nice Canadian dime

I love those old Canadian Silvers . Would trade them for silver rosies or mercs any day . Except a 16d of course lol

I'm with 46Wheat. Those older Canadian silvers are great looking coins. I also like that lead figure.

Sweet dig deershed. I love the old silver and the toys.

That's pretty cool you finding the exact coin as the kid and being Canadian, Congrats!! Not like we find too many Canadain silvers here.
We hadn't checked to see what silver content this dime had but, we were aware of the 50%, 80% and .925.
Thanks for the heads up though.

Wow!!
Never said I didn't like those finds. The kid and I have had a friendly competition from day one. He found the silver yesterday, not me. It was the kids day, not my day.
I'll take CW lead and lead toys any day.

I couldn't agree more with both of you. Would love to find more Canadian silver. This dime was only our second ever, found a 41 quarter two years ago.

Hi Deershed, your toy soldiers are early ones, the marching doughboy with the rifle is most likely made by American Soldier/Eureka Company, circa 1906-1927ish. In the catalog as "Shoulder Arms." Best I can tell by your photograph.

Best I can tell, your other soldier was made by Loebel Widmann, 1916-1918. In the catalog, it is known as, "Standing Firing, Cap."

So, both are WW1 era soldiers, and I would bet that there are more there! Congrats. Sub 8-)

Thanks for the info. Sub. We were thinking WWI. Last year at a different site we cleaned up finding a whole army. Once again we figured these were also WWI.
These were just the little lead soldiers I found. The kid found a small pile himself. The first pic there should be 16, these were all found in a small 3 foot area.
