1920s mesh purse

I found this in an old dump near my house. I was trying a new section of it so it took me half of the time I spent down there just getting to the level with the good stuff. Anyways, I found this Whiting & Davis Co. mess woman?s purse. The style of the logo and of the purse itself dates it to the 1920s. It still opens but it does have some holes and rust spots on it. The framing is copper painted green. It also has a chain so you could hold it more easily. Thanks for looking! image.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webp

How cool is that! It’s a keeper.

What a great save!

Cool find, it reminds me of what you see the woman carrying in movies set around that era.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Cool find! Pretty good shape too!

Thanks for all of the nice responses!

For being 100 years old-It's in fine condition for sure. Congrats on the recovery.

Awesome find- wish it was full of old coins!

That is one great find, and would display very nicely.

Very cool, you will not dig one of these again. Would not go with my attire, but it would look great framed on the wall.

They are collectible. I sold three 2 years ago at an average price of $200.
Condition and appearance were important--as usual.
Great save !!
