1934 Chicago World's Fair memorabilia
My parents recently bought a new house that was built in 1900, and since I also recently bought my first metal detector, I thought I'd see what I could find in their yard. I did find some silver and few odds and ends but I can't figure out what this item is. It is some sort of memorabilia from the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. The front has a shield symbol on it and below it says "1934", "A Century of Progress", "Chicago". Then, on the side it says "True Silver Plate" and some sort of marking with a "B". It is open in the middle like it was supposed to hold something and it has a small hinged latch on it. Any help would be appreciated.
Note: I included the dime in the picture to give a sense of scale.
Also, after previewing the post, it seems the pictures are going to be compressed so the markings are hard to read.
