1939-D Merc dime ~ 1948 & 1960 Rosie Dimes ~ 1985 Kennedy Half

Hello everyone!

Well, More beautiful weather and I got in a few hours of detecting today after work. Good thing because as soon as the sun set tonight the clouds came in and now it's pouring raining outside! Here's what I dug today:

1939-D Mercury Dime
1948-D Roosevelt Dime
1960-D Roosevelt Dime
1985-D Kennedy Half Dollar
8 clad quarters
19 clad dimes
3 modern nickels
48 copper Memorial cents
3 zinc cents

Also, I dug a screw cap with the image of an old dude on it! Anyone know who this guy is? I assume the cap has some age to it because of how deep it was.

I took pic's of the coins before and after I cleaned 'em up. These dimes are my silver coin finds #38, #39, and #40 for the year!

what part of Eugene are you Hunting ? It Might just be worth the Drive to find some Silver there?

Congrats! You've really been finding some great stuff. I found that same screw cap a couple of years ago and I kept it but I never could figure out who that man is or what the cap was from. HH -Garbageman

Great silvers, and I think your screwcap shows a picture of Melvin Ripple. He's a maker of fine wines most often served directly from the bottle, and often with a paper bag. I could be wrong, though. I used to drink a lot of it as a young man....but for some reason I don't see to well anymore.
