I went to a site where there was 14 houses that were dozered over to build a new developement.I think they were built around the 1940s-50s.I only hit it for a quick scan today ,about 2 hrs.I dug my 1st whole midgetoy.Like the tootsietoy, made in 1960s.A 1/2 of a compact,a sleigh bell, and eyeballed a cobalt Bromo Seltzer bottle made by Emerson Drug Co.As far as coins, a little clad fromthe 70s, a 45 canadian penny, and a really rough lookin 45 wheat.I gave some pics of the site too.

Thanx for lookin, jimmy

I thought so. Hope you have some good detecting for a long time.
I'll be watching for more updates.

Keep going back!! I've hunted post WWII develpments like that and they can be quite a windfall. After the war the economy was good and money flowed freely. Lots and lots of neighbor hood barbeque party's. After some hard years the population was determined to get out side and enjoy themselves and they could afford it. Plenty of oppurtunities for dropped coins. (silver) HH

I go to a site like that around here. Alot of trash in the ground, but still some neat things to be found, especially wheaties and occaisionally, some silver. Be patient and keep on it.

Awesome finds!! Love the cobalt bottle and Beetle!! Way to go!!

Happy Hunting!

Moon
