Still pulling silvers out from that lake, when I seen that Walker in my scoop I couldn't believe it. I had just pulled two old nickels knowing one was a 1940, I knew I was dancing around a War nickel, then out pops the half, sweet They are one of my favorite designs for US coins. I was one hour into the hunt, then spent another hour with my last target being the 1963 Rosie.
That was my second half at that site, the other was a 1951 Franklin Half

Enjoy the pix

And that right there is how its done from the water!, brad you killed it in the lake!!! congrats!!!

Glad to see your wadding again. You killed it last year. I still remember all the nice war nickels you pulled up.

Beautiful half... You may see another or older Monday...

I love seeing Walkers posted, one of my favs too...now if I could only dig one myself!

Awesome finds! Looks like a great day for sure. Love the silvers. Big congrats

Well, you have started! I know you will be posting regularly now. It makes you wonder if maybe a youngster threw the half in the lake. How do you lose something like that? Nice job Brad!

Nice walker. One of my favorite coins also. Only ever found one about two years ago. Congrats.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments, the water is still on the verge of being cold. I found out it warms up quick in my lake. Another cool find was a "Club pass/beach tag" I found, it has a brass chain on it with a plastic badge that has the date, 1960 on it. My birth year, can't post a pic of it or I'd have to kill everyone for confidentially issues, lol I think I might put the boat in the water today and make a trip out to treasure island, I will be back in there at one point today, supposed to be warm again.20150516_170939.webp20150516_171047.webp20150516_182656.webp20150516_171032.webp

Great finds Now if only you can get those southern boys to get in the water

wow, that half looks cool w/ the black on it, how do u get em clean? baking soda? Ive used toothpaste on war nickels, that seems to work a bit too

Very nice. The water has been good to you. Have you developed gills yet? Lol

Great finds and the half is in great shape.

Great hunt!! Congrats!!

Love the Walker, 42 was my Dad's birth date. Funny the date of the club pass/beach tag is my birth date also.
