Looking through my coins and I noticed this dimple on the back side of an uncirculated 1943 steel wheat penny. The condition makes me think that its some kind of a mint error, but I am not familiar with said error. I tried googling and found some information about bubbles in the metal when the coin was being made. What do you think, does it give the coin extra value?

I would say just normal steel wheaty,,, i a few with all kinds of blemishes ,,, but i am no expert

Thanks for the reply. I kind of thought the same thing, but was surprised I had never noticed it before.

It is hard to determine or say with certainty whether the coin has a "Struck Thru" Error or if it was damaged as the coin appears to be a 1943 Zinc coated Steel Cent that has been Reprocessed (i.e. cleaned and then re-coated with Zinc).
