Hello,
the Pic is dated Marz 1944 - while the 2nd. World War raged all across Europe
we in South America ran out of Oil .
Here in this Photo is my Father with his Chevrolet 1938 .I have marked with
a blue harrow at he side of the truck where in a container the coal was transformed
into fuel to keep the vehicles running.
It was named "Gasometer" .
By that time even a half liter gasoline was very much preciated .They saved the gasoline
for urgencies ,for instance in case of someone's accident or illness.
Hard times....
