Picked this up today. The tool box is nice, but the stickers make it. It's inscribed 1951. Thanks for looking.

nice find.

I've bought so many of these tool boxes. They are great for tossing random tools into and then selling.

That tool box is amazing! You're right, the stickers make it, and it will fetch a premium. If I were selling it I'd list it the first few times as an auction with a really high start, maybe a 10 day starting at $500. Then again, if I had it I'd have to keep it. Incredible find, thanks for posting!

So cool on many levels!

That tool box is awesome!

Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

@Baltimore...thanks for the advice. I was thinking it was only worth like $100 or so. Now I know why the guy who buys car stuff looked annoyed. :)

That's really cool. Good eye dude.

As you can tell by my avatar, I am an old car guy. That's a sweet vintage piece you got there.

Well done sir!

No problem! Can't guarantee it'll sell for that much of course, but I can't think of a single hot rod guy on earth who wouldn't proudly keep that in their garage, or in their trunk to bring out at car shows. It's dripping with character and has amazing eye appeal. It's what every piece of faux hot rod paraphernalia is trying to look like, but it's the real deal.

If you decide to list it, make sure to include some of the sticker brands if you can fit them. Valvoline, edelbrock, thrush, moon, mallory, and bardahl are all still in business.
