1952 D nickels

Hi All,

My Dad collected a bunch of 1952 D nickels. All circulated. Is there anything special about the date or mint mark? Was there any errors I should look for? He obviously was looking for something.

Relatively low mintage as far as Jefferson nickels go. I believe there was a fellow years ago hoarding boatloads of them...was finally discovered and I think the price dropped...don't know if those ever came on the market
