Today I received a solid roll of 1959's. They are all very pretty and red. About half way thru the roll, find one that has an interesting mark. Unable to get a good picture, but I would compare it to a bubble in something that's been molded, you know kind of like a little, random shaped cavity in the shoulder of the bust. Any ideas what it is caused from? Also, Are there any known varieties of this coin?

P.s. This is the coin in question. Not am extremely clear pic of the mark I described, but should be enough to show you the general condition of the entire roll. As always, thank you very much.

I can't see what you are referring to due to the blurriness of the photo. Try taking a pic by holding a magnifying glass or Gem Loupe lens up against the front of the camera's lense. This often helps in taking closeup pics of coins and other items.

Here's a couple pictures that might help.

It could be the pic, but to my eyes the date sure looks doubled.

If the spot on the Lincoln Cent is the indentation on Lincoln' right upper arm/ shoulder area, then it appears to be a "Strike Through Error". Not sure what it could have been struck through when minted but probably some Foreign material or debris.

Not that id be interested in getting rid of it, but what would an error like this bring a fellow collector?
