I ran across this coin while cashing in my coins, I knew something about the 1964 Dimes but not sure how to tell if its a double version or worth anything special.

Nice silver dime find! :occasion14:

Nice find, I don’t see any doubling. And welcome from So. California

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nothing special of the dime, the silver makes it $2-4 worth. It’s a find alright.

Welcome from Texas

There ya go thats a nice find

Just gotta keep an eye out theres lots still floating around

The thing about 1964 dime (and any year earlier) is that are truly composed of 90% silver. A valuable precise metal.

Any time produced after 1964, with a date 1965 or later are NOT made of silver and worth only 10c.

welcome to Tnet . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . :hello:

CoinFetcher, though I understand your main point I have to counter that the real "value" of a "post 64" dime is really only WORTH about $.015 or one and a half cents. 1965-2014 Roosevelt Dime Melt Value - Coinflation

Hate to say it but our current money really amounts to game tokens and monopoly money!

Brain411: That's a great find! Scoop them up every chance you can and squirrel them away somewhere safe. Some day in the not too distant future I believe they will be worth more than the $2-$4 dollar range.

Nice find on the '64 silver dime.

Thanks for all the feedback and welcomes, I'll try to keep a closer look at my spare change from now on

Except for some proof coins. Some of those have silver in them.

Welcome from deep deep deep under the snow cap. Cool dime too!!!

Nice find, Brain411. If you find any coin which might be doubled, check PCGS for examples to compare to.

Welcome to tnet from Niagara Falls and congrats on the silver dime.
