So my son and I came across this 1964 Penny that has a yellow color to it. Was it a strike on Peruvian planchet, a brass planchet, or just cleaned? Anyone have any ideas? This is my first post but I have been reading here for some time. Any help would be appreciated. I took a photo with a red and brown for reference.

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard AceInTheHole! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE) so if you ask a question, etc. - people may have more success helping you (if necessary)...

Probably because they were steel pennies minted 1943-1944 due to copper rationing for the war.
