1964 Proof Nickel???

I was reading that nickel proofs were not made in San Fran until 1968 and they were made in Philly before that (except SMS). I found this today and it looked exceptional next to any other '64 I found...could this be an early proof??

Pictures are not perfect and really do not do this coin justice.

Also it does not appear to be a polished coin...I have come across plenty of those and this seems legit...BUUUUUT I'm no expert :-)

That's a proof; nice catch!
 

Is it also a rotated die? The reverse doesn't look "square" with the obverse in the pictures of it in the 2X2.

Yeah it is definitely rotated a bit...how much does it have to rotate to be unique???

Can't help you there. There are human coin value experts whom will certainly chime in, in time. There are some SMART folks on these forums; I'm just not one of them. :tongue3:
