Abandoned Car junkyard

June 2017 - Walking though an abandoned car junkyard near a busy highway I took pictures of some very interesting cars. Earlier, I assumed the place was abandoned in the early 2000s because past images on google earth show after that time there was no more activity at the site. So I decided to give it a visit.
The Beetle was my best find.

The years of the cars vary:
90s
80s
and 70s

If the images appear sideways or upside down I Apologize!

Nice photos, thanks for the memories! :occasion14:

One of my favorite pastimes is going to old junkyards, where's this one at?

BIGSCOTT The junkyard NE of San Antonio, Texas on Pat Booker rd. It is on the right driving NW.

Is the 3rd car tucked in the bushes a 2 door? I'm sure it's 67' Plymouth Satellite and had it been a GTX that would be a real MOPAR treasure. Definitely some value in parts and body pieces sitting there.

gotta strip them old mopars find a cuda or charger they will sell in almost any condition

I do not have any car junkyard pictures but I certainly love seeing them and wondering about the potential of some of those beauties. It nice to see someone start a thread on automobile junkyards and give address or location in case someone is interested. I know I will be a "regular" on that thread. It is nice to see iconic and rare vehicles who escaped the "Crusher".
That Thunderbird still has the hidden headlights and if the mechanisms are still there, That would bring in some cash as well as the taillight lens and the chrome pieces. Any of the clocks can bring money too. I use to make some good money as a hobby, going to junk yards on the week ends and getting parts and selling on-line. Clocks, any gauges for that matter, hood ornaments were popular as well as tail light lenses, car badges, anything chrome plated and easily shippable. Heck, I might even be interested in doing that again if someone has access to a good junkyard as I just don't have the time now as well as we are starting our cold weather.

:laughing7:I like that old mopar too, had one in high school, chick magnet.
