1974 half dollar with die chip/ crack

Take a look at the chip coming off the four. At first I went to pass this one by but the more I looked the better it looks.

Sorry, not a crack. Looks like damage from a rolling machine.

Yes, rolling machine damage......and the same corresponding damage can be seen between the L and I and B.

The thing to remembered is a die crack will be raised.

I'll take another look when I get home. After looking at over two hundred thousand half dollars many with the characteristic inset circular rolling machine damage you'd think I could do a decent ID. Maybe the peepers are tired I guess. I don't post much unless I am really sure,.. or really unsure lol.
