1974 half fake?

When I saw the edge of this half in the roll it immediately drew my attention thinking silver.
But after pulling the coin it had a proof mirror finish but no mint mark.
The weight is 11.59 grams.
I just did a specific gravity test and it is 9.27

Anyone have any ideas? It’s scratched and ugly for sure.

Your item is just a little heavier than a Kennedy from that year. Official weight is 11.34 grams. The surface of the coin looks to me to be polished rather than having a proof surface.

Unless something has changed since your last thread on this same coin, it is still a common 1974 clad half. Minted in Philadelphia. Heavy post mint plating. Damaged. That is all. Time for more coffee.
