1979 silver half dollar?

I found this 1979 half dollar with no mint mark that looks like a proof. It is very shiny and it has a silver edge! What is it?!?!

Nothing to look up. Someone took a normal clad half and plated it. Worth 50 cents.

I will still keep it just so in case you need to swap it with a real one( that a teller is saving it for someone else)

I get those quite a bit, people either plate them for science projects or just for fun. Some do it to trick other CRHers. A lot of time I find those with big "X"s on them and things written like "not silver!"
