I picked this up on the road this week for $10 & change at an antique shop. Looking in to it on eBay sales history of this model convinces me this cheap made plastic manual wind watch is worth upwards of $150. plus. I found most selling at that price range listing them as, the 'Timex Military Contracted Field Watch'. I wound it up soon after I purchased it and it's been running on time since then. I see other like with a quartz movement, but those don't bring as much.

Very nice looking watch and what era is it?

1980s is what I'm finding and it's probably one of the last mechanical movement watches Timex ever produced? In the 80s just about every analog Timex had at that time, came with a quartz movement I believe? Some references I've looked at are calling this the Timex 'throw a way' military watch, which I thought was interesting and another reference calls it the Timex Camper. Seems the history on it is a bit conflicting, but it's definitely one that military time peace collector's seem to hope to add to a collection.

I believe I have seen a couple of those when I was in the Marine corps. Very nice to see it still works.:icon_thumright::icon_thumright:

I search for the things I want to sell before I list. One time I was on a site and stupid Google spammed me ... WITH MY OWN AUCTION! Idiots!
