1992 D Penny

Hello everyone,


Hope everyone is doing well during this pandemic. I would like your opinions on this 1992 D Penny. It appears to be a Wide AM Penny with a Close "FG". It doesn't have the hook in it like a Wide FG does. I wanted to know what you all thought of this before I just decided to toss it to the side.

It's just a wide AM, normal for the year. On the wide AM the FG is closer to the memorial, like this coin is.

Thank you for your response. Hope all is well with you. I was looking at the G in the FG. It doesn't have the hook in it like a Wide FG does.

It looks totally normal to me. The hook on the G may or may not show up well depending on the strike, wear or die state. It is not the best diagnostic for the variety.

Looks like a grease filled die which may account for what you see on the FG.
