I got out for a couple hours yesterday for a chilly hunt (37 degrees) and went to a place where I found a crap load of wheats last year, I just knew there had to be silver there and I was right! I got the five wheats first and thought to myself, here we go again. Then I got the sweetest signal and knew instantly that it was silver, out came the '39 Merc from only about 4" down. After wondering whats waiting under that frozen ground for 3 and a half months it was sure nice to see silver again. I headed back out there today and started off with the wheats again, got a '37 and a '53 before I headed to a different area of this park. I was getting clad and was just about ready to go back to where I was when I got a screamer next to a steep bank. I dug the 1903 Barber quarter and and in the plug was a lid from an old tin can "amazing". I scanned the hole and got another good signal and when I finished I had five wheats all within 3 or 4 inches from the Barber. A '12, '17, '19, 19s and a '20. I know one thing for sure, I have to hit this spot hard before the skeeters come out and it gets overgrown again. Thanks for looking and HH.
