On my 3rd Tesoro Vaquero. Sold the first two because I fell for all the "Hype" on the XP Deus, and Equinox. Will not sell/trade this one.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Chinese coin was only under the surface is the reason why I think its fake, but I don't see the word "copy" on it anywhere. The coin is about the size of a quarter. Not familiar with Chinese coins, so any info would be appreciated.
Also found the 1943 Merc w/no mint mark, and 1918D Wheat nearby. (Used AT PRO today)

Check out this site. Find the mint then click on the "coins" at the bottom of the page. It may help you identify your coin. Pretty cool and old find.

Where did you find them. This site has an interesting story about guy that found a Chinese piece in north Carolina.

Nice finds nitnelyons.

It's a real coin, 1736-1795 era, and a common mintmark on the reverse (side that has only 2 Chinese characters.) I hunt in S. Korea, and see a Chinese coin about 1 out of every 10 finds. Very interesting coin you have, as that square style I don't see often. Still marked "common," but not when digging them. Good find.

Appreciate all your help. Super information. Never found a coin made in 1700's. Excited big time, even though it is foreign. I found it near a sidewalk at an old public park.
