First target of the day was a spoon which I thought at the time was junk till I got home and noticed the hallmark. Taking photos not my forte but it is a lion facing left with it's tail up.

I think that is English and the lion mark is called a lion passant mark. This was stamped on Sterling from the late 1600's to 1720. At least I think that is what you have there. A clearer close up would help. Nice find!

After further research, that spoon could be more recent than 1720. I really need a better photo.
