Did my first field hunt and found an Old Large Cent right away... talk about luck....Sorry trying to clean her up first..... I also found a mystery coin a while back and I may have did something bad.... My wife bought me some Apple Cider Vinagar and Baking Soda for cleaning up some clad and well, I figured what the heck. Anyway after letting this guy sit overnight, I realized after looking that there is some detail which looks like tree branches. I don't see anything similar in my Blue Book. Any ideas? I'm not sure if I should go ahead and try to clean it up more with peroxide at this point. Thanks everyone for looking!

Coin was found in Eastern Virginia if it helps.

Maybe a medallion or an ancient coin. Don't recognize it.

Pretty sure its not a coin.

I find a lot of coins that are so crusted or have been through a fire. It it were me I would clean the heck out of it slowly till you see something identifiable. Like Crusader said its probably not a coin. You never know, if your like me you will spend more time on it than it worth. Happy Hunting I hope you find more. The mystery coins are the best.

Sometimes its more fun not to know good job!!!!!!!!
