Yesterday was my first chance to detect since the snow hit us. A lot of our ground is still frozen but I did locate a patch of ground where the sun had thawed it out.
I'm trying something new this year. I'm now using a 6-inch coil instead of my usual 10 and 15-inchers. I'm rehunting all my totally hunted out sites.
I dug this at 5-inches after digging several pieces of iron at 10-inches. It looks pretty nice but I can't get it away from my wife to have it checked. And I already had a cool spot in one of my displays for it.
I don't have a scale but that doesn't matter. It's here to stay anyway.
Oh well, just have ta find another.

Update: Just found out it's Rose Gold. Rose is a blend of gold and copper and has a pinkish-gold tone to it and can be mistaken for cheap copper.
I almost threw it away!
