Had the opportunity to go out for a couple of hours with new new 250, and so I hit up the local park. I pulled up a bunch of pulltabs and such, and when I get to the last swing set I finally found some clad. I even got a Bi-Centennial quarter on the 1st dig. All in all I found 3 quarters, 3 pennies, and 1 dime. The best being the Bi-Centennial piece. Tomorrow I hit up the beach in the morning. See if I cant bring in anything good.

Well that's a start! Keep it up!

Hey welcome to the ACE 250 club. Great finds, the goodies
are out there just keep looking. If you look at some of my posts the last
few days, you will see some of my finds using the ACE 250. I usually hunt
in Jewelry mode. I hope your using a headset, it really helps with those
deep signals. Keep your sensitivity low, around 4 notches, more if you
don't get to many false signals. Best of luck at the beach, I used mine
here in Ohio at the beach Saturday. I really just found a few coins, lots of
people at the beach so didn't really get to use it their much.

Well, hope some of my tips help, and best of Luck, HH, Ringfinder

P.S. If you hunt in the coin mode, it will help eliminate some of the pesky pull tabs.

How does wearing a headset help with deep signals? The ace 250 has only one volume setting: loud and annoying, haha. The deep signals don't sound any different than the shallow ones do.

I guess your sort of got me there bscofield6, I say sort of
because I use a headset that I can adjust.
You are right the sound is loud on all signals, deep or shallow.
But by using the headset I use you can adjust the sound for
each ear. I just like to use a headset because i'm not bothering
other people in the area and you can hear the good signals better!

I guess that's why I like the ACE 250 because of the great
signals it gives on each target, good or bad. I know many people
think that this is just a cheap machine, but I have lots of detector's
that cost lots more than this machine but the ACE 250 is the easiest
detector to use and the lightest. I'm not saying my other top line
detector's won't do the job, they will, but this detector is just
so much easier to use.

If you have the ACE 250 give it a chance, I think you will be surprised
in what it can do. If you don't like it, sell it, then us guys that are left using this
great machine can find the goodies.

Best of Luck with what ever Detector you use.

P.S. The headset I use is a Calrad Stereo Headset, cost around $20

It took me a long time to find my first bicentennial quarter, for some reason. That Ace250 sounds like a nice little machine. Keep swingin' that coil!
