1st hunt 1890's farmhouse

got permish for a new spot today,, got a 1920 wheat,, some other nifty old items,, but my fav is the old tire valve cover,, have found 2 more at other sites,, didnt now what they were till today,, todays one had good writing on it,, schrader valve new york,, seems they were on 1920-1930's car wire wheels,, pretty cool!!!!! hope everbody has good luck huntin this weekend!!

GREAT digs man !! I thought schrader valve was a grease fitting?WTG on the finds!!

Nice relics Smitty!Have a few of the valve stem covers in my automobilia finds as well. Congrats...joe

Cool digs allsmith. I like the brass scrollwork thingie, is that circular-loop handled object separate or attached to it? Neat stuff, keep those pics coming!

sorry i was trying to get everthing to fit in that shot,, no, that ring thing looks like a drawer pull
but yeah the scolly lookin thing is cool!!!! im wondering if it aint a part of a oil lamp holder for the wall???

Great thread! Thanks much for the info on the Schrader valves. I've dug several of these myself and have always wondered what they were. I figured they were valve caps but I didn't know for what.

The other relics are great too. I really like that green patina on each piece.
