Detector(s) used
Started with a Minelab xterra 505. Then Equinox 600 with stock coil, xl coil and sinper coil depending on circumstances. Now use a manticore mostly or oversized coil on equinox.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
My detecting friend somehow found this unassuming grass strip right next to a modern shopping center that must have been an old dump. Or are least that's my guess given the amount of bottle and ceramic shards in every hole and oyster shells. No pull tabs so far. yet it's mostly all lower tones you normally don't want to dig. Like below memorial penny signals. But everything is interesting or a big chunk of iron. No coins for either of us yet. well I got a 1980s memorial but I'm not counting that. .

Ring is plated but still neat. Thimble is a progressive insurance advertising item. Old yale lock key. And two numbered tags. Any suggestions on their use? The small one has an 11 on it. My friend found a number 44 and this crazy silver washed bowl with an Islamic design just before I got there. Rest of items in 2nd picture were from a park except 2 of the wheat cents dates are 1934, 1952 and 1957.

Nice!!!! Congrats!!!!

Cool finds!!!

Thanks all. Pulled this burned mercury dime out of this pit. Was really hard to pinpoint. No chance on getting a date off this. Still it's silver at least and found on my birthday.
