1st silver jewelry!!

I’ve been waiting all year for this day! I’ve pounded beaches in CT and NJ all summer long and not one piece of jewelry to show for it. Today I decided to head up to the farm and check out some new spots. I found nothing but cans. I headed back to a small field where I’ve found tons of clad, a very old button, and some old nails. For some reason I always find at least one clad coin when I hit it. Today I found 2 pennies. Hoping beyond hope one would be my first wheatie, but no. Oh well.

Then I get this signal that is bouncing all over the place. That’s usually bad new for me, but I dig anyway. Glad I did! I dug a plug and there it was! A silver earring in great shape! I really didn’t know if it was silver for sure until I got home and googled “silver 925”. BINGO!!

I go to Stratford beaches. They stop charging $20 after labor Day. Tons of clad, caps, pull tabs, and beer cans! (at least there's clad).

yep, the ice has been broken so more should follow. kind of the reason many dig regardless of the numbers, sometimes the machine can be fooled or confused by the countless variables.
