Pounded same lake spot 3 days in a row for 2-3 hours each day. This small wave cut area is just loaded with iron.

Day 1- I hunted it with a AT pro and sharpshooter coil and found 3 wheaties, 2 buffalo's and a nice mercury, not a bad hunt for me.

Day 2- Went back the next day with my E trac and a Sunray X-5 and pick out more treasures, a religious medal, 5 wheaties, 1 Indian head cent and a V nickel,...... I was happy as I thought it was pick over pretty good the day before. What a difference a small coil makes in a iron infested area.

Day 3- Today I decided to try Two Tone Ferrous on the E trac for the first time and again found more good targets, A nice 14k wedding band, junk gold plated ring, religious medal, toy car, 1889 and 1899 Indian head cents and 4 wheaties. Needless to say I am very happy with the results and will be using TTF more often.

Dang- thats a nice collection.

Wow that's an awesome collection of finds!

Good going on the gold ring.

very nice finds

Three hunts in the right spot for sure... Congrats!

Thanks guys.

Hopefully the water will be productive too. It's going to take forever to warm up. The air temp as I type this is only 40 ..brrrr

Enjoy it because it is 90 here with 90% humidity. My DirtFishing is about over till October/November.

Here is hunt 4's results.

The total finds are getting scarcer, but the ratio of old coins to new clad is getting better.

One of the few times ever that I found more oldies then clad.

I started the morning seeing a $20 bill rolling along the bottom :hello2:

I began with the AT pro W/sharpshooter coil and waders and didn't have any luck.

Switched to the Etrac + Sunray X-5 running TTF and started hitting good targets.

The amount of iron in this cut out is unbelievable.

Todays finds = 1 Mercury dime, 2 Buffalos, 1 wheatie, junk gold plated ring and only 3 modern coins.

This has been a fun 4 hunts and the $20 bill was icing on the cake.

My total so far is 26 oldies/keepers, not including hunting partners SLQ and wheat backs.

13 wheaties
3 Indian cents
4 Buffalo nickels
1 V Nickel
2 Mercury Dimes
2 religious medals
1 14k ring
2 junk rings
Bunch of clad.

Just be careful going into deeper water with the E-trac, or TTF will stand for Totally and Terminally Fu:censored:........uh... Flooded. :laughing7:

I hear ya, That's why I started with the AT PRo ......BUT No matter how much I like the AT Pro, and believe me I like it a lot, It is not a E-trac.

I made sure my arm stayed in the cuff strap and only went about 20" deep. Most of my finds were in the surf or wet sand area.
