Back to the 50's Ball field with BKinPA this morning
I remembered my Camera this time











today's Gas rebate 78 Cents



Plenty of trash



not as many Wheats this time.
for some reason I just couldn't find any for the first hour & a Half
then finally found a 2 Wheat Drop

1941 & 1944



also found a SUNOCO series 2 Antique Car Coin



and a 1941 Liberty Babe

awesome!, u must be a patient man, my parks and ballfields are a junk littered wasteland and all I seem to do is dig clad and pulltabs, we also have some really old ballfields up here from the 40s and 50s but like I said, they are littered to all heck with junk

Thanks ! yes this one could go back to the 40's, not real sure.
on the '39 aerial it's not there, '59 it is,
so somewhere between there they built it.

this one is on private property, not public, so
it sat all these years without me detecting.
thanks to BK knowing the owner in passing,
and Running into him and asking, we now have a semi
new old site. no idea if anyone ever trespassed.

Site is loaded with signals though, & the first hour was nothing but Trash and Memorials,
but at least the Mem's are copper
newest 1 1982 oldest 2 1969's , Majority 70's this time.

Now we need rain again, I almost missed the merk.
at 7" / 8" the Ground dried & hardened.
I shoved the Digger another couple inches
& out it popped. Had to be 10" deep or very close

and comes out to play, just when I figure all is lost

Would be so nice to hunt a park without no drama, looks peaceful. Around here in Fredericksburg/Stafford if you get caught MDing a park it is arrestable offense and you lose your MD.. I can't even remember the last time i hunted a "city park" i think it was down in South Carolina... I was able to get permission to hunt a state park out in the Northern Neck of Virginia but the permit was only for 1 acre of 300 acres lol.. oh well..

it would be a nightmare to me, If I had to avoid parks.

Yea the Oldies are deep, The clad & copper are not always shallow either.
BK pulled a 6" deep Clad dime today.

That sunoco coin is cool .I like the silver too but the other is more unique.You might find another merc but chances are slim for the other

Yea I agree.
I do find the car coins on occasion, but they are like play money & tokens.
or a 1916-D merc.

the minted Numbers are way down there.
