I had a little play time so I went back to the keg party. I call it the keg party because a member here on Treasurenet ( Crusader ) Identified one of my finds as a keg tap key. Keg tap key Where was the keg party? Where was the lost money?? Well here are a few more coins, buttons and tinkle cone from that party. Feel free to jump in if you think you can attribute the coins. Unfortunately, I lost the really nice shoe buckle that I found.

Nice finds. The first Connecticut pictured is a 1787, the obverse is identifiable as one of the number 33 dies by the punctuation, but there are around 50 different 33 obverses and around 100 varieties total using 33 obverses. I may be able to get it closer when I have my books in front of me. I know I recognize that high 88 on the 1788 as well, and will check that as well.

Well, the 1788 is a 16.3-N which is a rarity 2 variety which is pretty common. That one is the easy one, will spend some time with the other, but no guarantee!

OK, wasn't as tough as I thought it might be. It is a 1787 33.5-T.2, this reverse is known as the "skeleton hand" reverse. This is a low rarity 5 variety. Rarity five is 31 to 75 estimated known, so low rarity 5 would be more toward the 75 end.
