2-19-07 Out Of Town Search....

I went and spent a few of days with my mom a couple hours away and yesterday morning hit the banks early. My husband came with me so we were able to search more coins ($2500) but anyway the day yielded.....

163 Total Silver Halves
31-90% (3 Franklins 53-D & 2x57D)
12-65's
16-66's
53-67's
30-68's
21-69's

Also found 4 proofs.....3 bicentennial "S" and a 1974-S.

My mom also gave me a few coins she had in an old tin.....two Ike dollars, a 1971 & a bicentennial along with two indian head nickels 1920 & 1935 and 3 quarters which were 1937, 1961 & 1962. She also gave me a Russian coin which is a 1991 that I do not know what it is yet and a 1958 6 pence from England.

Can't wait to go back for another visit for a few days....lol.

Thanks.....I guess I was lucky because the banks were open here in south Louisiana on Monday (Presidents Day). The reason is because Tuesday (yesterday) was Mardi Gras day here and all of the banks were closed so it worked out for me. Mardi Gras is for sure a bigger day than Presidents Day in these parts...lol.

Thanks for all the kind words......I just love this hobby. Seeing all of the posts from you guys finding all those Walkers and Franklins is why I keep hitting the banks hoping I hit a nest of those babies.
