My mom has two $2 bills. They have serial #'s in sequence. Should she just spend them or do they have some more value this way?
serial #'s are I 25888681 A, and I 25888682 A respectivly.
Your bills appear to be from the Series of 2003 (Minneapolis issued). That was a printing of nearly 122 million bills. You might get an extra dollar of so for them (retail might be $5), but if I owned them (here in California), I'd add a few cents and buy a gallon of gas.
Don........
There is a common misconception that $2 bills are rare and valuable because they are not often used in day-to-day transactions.
Anything printed after 1976 has a green seal. Those are worth two bucks. So that is what your dollars are worth.
Anything printed before 1976 has a red seal. That is where you start to go up in value. Especially if it appears to be in a crisp, clean undamaged condition.
