Went to a little out of the way spot that I had really good feelings about. They turned out correct with my second ever big penny. I figured it was a half, I would have been happy with a franklin. After the plug fell apart, I saw the disk, and was thinking token, then I saw the face and proceeded to start shaking and panting. I got my first one last year, and figured it would be a long time 'til I saw another. Then we went to our little silver spot, the merc was #40 from that site, and then I got the barber, I was tempted to stay until I hit another 3-some, but everyone else wanted to leave. I had a great day.

Holy guacamole !!! I sure am seeing a ton (that would be a ton) of large cents being found lately

and i haven't even found an Indian Head cent yet ! I'm not complaining though because i recently found

a 1923 peace dollar. Great finds man ! At the risk of being sacreligious , I can say i love the merc. more

than the Barber . Blessings , Gregory, Santa Fe.

Those are great finds. The 1857 Large Cent is the last year of those coins, somewhat hard to find issue for this series. GOOD JOB!!! HH...Jesse.

Nice finds,

Once you get one the rest come alot easier. I can still remember saying I'll never get one of these or find another one again. Now I have found so many old coins it's like man they are out there.
