2 Copper Day & Yes MORE Buttons!

Got out for a bit today as the temps were much cooler and the rain really helped + I was laid off a month ago. Went back to the site I've been pounding. 1802 & KGII + 12 more buttons.

Yellow jackets were out & about and spotted 3 nests in time w/o getting stung, WHEW! Mosquitos & deer flies were out in numbers as well.

Totals for this site are: 45 buttons, 6 LC's (4 DB's, 1 MH & 1 KGII), 1 IH, 1V & 1 Silver Washington.

Where do your yellow jackets nest? In the ground or ? Just curious. Ours are in the ground. I've done battle with those things. Won some lost some. Gary

In the ground. Wasps/Hornets make the paper nests in the trees...etc. I was lucky to have spotted them, once I sat on a next & got stung on the leg. I HATE these evil things.

Wow what a site congrats on all the great stuff! Definitely some nice coppers there! Thanks for sharing. It's awesome to hit a spot and kind of have an idea of everything that has come out of there... assuming that you are the first. By seeing what you have I'd say you have good chance of some Spanish silver hiding there! Best of luck! Get it!

Wow! Great site! Those numbers indicate LOTS of activity there. Possibly a War of 1812 muster point where men popped buttons and lost coins changing into uniforms?
