Try the hard to get to areas of the park or areas that are overgrown.

Good Luck

I hit a old park that was hunted out and found lots of silver, and some indians. If there is a lot of junk, dig any thing that reads befor nicol to penny or higher even if it does not lock on, some indians and weetes do not read right. The coins I found didnot lock or give a good signal. Good luck.

One would think that a 120 year old park would have some 120+ year old coins to be found.

don't know what your plan is but good luck on its implementation.

Read a neat post here last week about a guy with a F75 detector finding only old coins at 10+ inches in a hunted out park.

Which detector do you use mainly for your park hunting?

Apparently the F75 sees things my MXT does not even record or change tone when passing over.

Thanks for posting... the bad days only lead to good days later. It helps make it all worth while.
