2 Flying Eagle cents

Well i figured I would never dig one of these so I saw them on Ebay and picked them up. An 1857 Flying Cent and an 1858 Flying Cent. Been wanting one so I saw where a fellow had these 2 for sale. He wanted $100 for the set. I ended up getting the set for $45 shipped. I am collecting all these coins for my kids when I am gone and departed. At least they will have some cool old coins to fight over.

Cool cents. The Flying Eagle is my favorite small cent.

The 1857 & 1858 LL (large letter) Flying Eagle cents @ $45 is slightly above market based on condition...

However, their worth is whatever the buyer is willing to pay.

Leave them as-is and do not clean.

Now if you come across a 1856 FE, let me know...

Several years ago I purchased an extremely well worn (maybe 1856 FE) for a couple of bucks...I'm thinking of using some chemicals to see if the date is truly an 1856 coin...if it is, the current value may be in the $7000 range...if not, it makes a great filler and conversation piece.

It would be really cool if it did turn out to be an 1856!! Post a pic, you know you'll get several opinions from "us" guys.
