Congrats Jeff. If you're still finding stuff I wouldn't give up either on that spot. Have you been able to hit it with both wet and dry soil?

Nice that you got out and made finds! Do the owners live around there? Maybe you could drive by and ask?

No Idea on the Owners.

a woman is listed as owner & as Living in the house.
But that is definitely not the case, Unless it's a Little old Lady Who doesn't believe in Curtains & lives in the Basement & never comes out.
My guess they are fixing in their spare time.
But no idea if they plan to move in Or their age.
another Neighbor girl in the area said she didn't know them.

but after I did a Google on her Full name, She may be mid 40's and live on the Extreme
western side of PA in Beaver Falls, which could explain why they are not here every weekend working on it

That's pretty cool. From the looks of it, you found some late 1800's paper shotgun shells. Keep searching, maybe you can piece the town's history back together!

Thanks Carlos ! the Towns history is already known.
and the schools.

the first school was built in 1828,
some time before 1862 another school was built here.
known as a normal school it was for training teachers.
and in 1875 replaced with the present building which
housed elementry through 8th grade students till 1926 when 9th and 10th
grades were added.

it also was used for mentally handicapped for a period of time

But, I am hoping for more Surprises here.

As for the Shells, I'm not sure on age ,
But after looking at Aerials of the school from 1938
it appears someone may have been hunting in the yard,
as it looks like the yard was filled with trees

Hi jeff What a great looking site , compared to my dumpy pig poo mine sites the view is quite grand. I could just sit on the grass for 2 hours enjoy the site.

LOL Tin ! on the Mine sites, Sounds like what surrounds me :laughing7:

in Contrast yes This site, although I consider it a "Large Town"

because The population was 304 :o in 2000

Untitledll.webp

by most standards is a Small Village in the middle of Farm Fields,
and small hill sides which can make for some nice relaxing Views for Sure :laughing7:.

I tried to cherry pick lightly so you'd at least get a bit of gas rebate. ;)
