Being an apt manager I sometimes have tenants in my building leave things behind....food in the refrigerator, clothes, etc...today as I did a walk thru of an apt I found those kinds of things left plus 2 jars of coins...I separated the coins into baggies...quarters, nickels, dimes,.... Maybe $40-$50 total? Anyway, looking through the coins I managed a 1944 wheat, a 46, 58, and 59 nickel...so not too shabby... I'll hold on to the coins and see if they want them back at some point...maybe I need to contact them....also hit a few coinstars today...was 2 out 3 and managed 81 cents...thanks for viewing.

It's strange what people leave behind or throw away! I would leave nothing, why would I expect someone else to clear up my mess, don't get it...
Yeah, it is strange... Generally, people leave their apts in decent shape....I remember one other time where I had a person leave the entire refrigerator stuffed with food and all of it had to be thrown out....

We manage also and we had a lady pass away and her family came to clean out her Apt. but all they did was take what they wanted and left the place a mess, so while I was cleaning it out I was throwing food boxes and cans out and came across a mason jar with cornmeal inside it and when I tossed it in the trash I heard a clinking sound of metal hitting the glass of the jar so I retreived it out of the can and dumped it on the counter and there were 4 silver dollars in the jar along with the cornmeal three were Peace dollars and the other was older and they were scratched up pretty bad almost like someone had taken a knife to them. The relatives didn't leave an address to send any bills to so I kept the coins.
