Haven't done a lot of nickel boxes in the past, but needed a change of pace from cents and looking for halves. These two boxes yielded mixed results, but the two 1943 P wartime nicks made it worth the effort. I'm only keeping 1949 or older. Used to keep up to 1959 and but was just getting too many nicks from that decade to justify keeping them. Haven't found a buff from a box yet (found one in a CWR roll once, and another in pocket change if you can believe it).

Nickel box 1:
1939
1940 (2)
1940 D
1940 S
1941 (6)
1947
1947 D

Nickel box 2:
1940 (2)
1940 S
1941
1942
1943 P (2)
1946 (3)
1947 D

those are some good numbers man nice work! always fun finding a 39 no matter what the mint mark is

nice finds

I love finding those silver nic's. But those '42 (non - silver) and '46 nic's start to get a little frustrating after a while. Kind of like finding '65 dimes and quarters - almost silver but not quite.

I'm going to try and finish a box of nic's tonight myself - no silver yet.
