2 rocks

Hi everyone a few days ago while digging in a cave that we hope would lead to a Roman treasure we found those and other similar rocks. One of them has on one side something that looks like a piece of bone. Does anyone know what they are?

it looks like iron oxides on quartz. the description you gave is more along a calcite.
did these rocks come from a wet cave?

yes it's always wet. we're hoping to see some signs of human activity but so far we found only a few black objects that seem to be remains of burned wood/charcoal
