My brother bought these 2 dollars for $30 from a friend today. The first is a 1883 O dollar and the second is a 1922 D peace dollar. The dollars belonged to the kids great grandfather and the kid he bought them from had no interest in them. It's a win win situation, the kid gets what he wanted and my brother got what he wanted.

nice score esp the 1883 O

I will probably get the coins checked out by a pawn shop and get cases for them even though they aren't mine

The Morgan looks like someone started to make a coin ring out of it. He did good for $30 because right now the spot price is a little over $31. That does not take in the value of the coin itself.

The coin has a silver protector I believe and may look like somebody has tried to make it into a coin ring but I believe it is so you can handle the coin without wearing it down.

decent price for sure

They can buy today what they could buy back then, amazing the worth of silver...and it's shinny!

I thought I did well by buying a 1922 Peace and a 1890 Morgan ( both P's ) for $35 this week from a coworker but he certainly did better! Just when I think I am getting the hang of something....:icon_thumleft:

Looks like someone was makeing a coin ring....

The ring around the Morgan looks like a bezel for a pendant. Can it be removed?

Thank you guys for all the feedback!

$35 seems like a really good price for the 2.

Yes they were both 15 thankfully lol. And I do not think the thing around the Morgan can be removed
