2 US Gold Coins

Snapped this pic while I was at my great grandmothers house and found said coins. I really want to acquire them and offered to buy them. How much would you say these coins are worth? The 1834 coin also seems to have a die crack... Though the back had an ear ring peace welded into it.

I just gotta say that the coins look weird. The eye on the 1834 looks way off.

You might improve the quality of the responses if you post photos of the reverse sides of both coins.

I agree something isn't quite right about that 1834. Is it a $2.50 or a $5.00? The "4" seems too close to the hair (and the eye as noted above).
